The Trinity
We believe in the one true God, creator of the universe, who exists eternally as three persons – God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; each fully God yet personally distinct from the other. (Genesis 1:1, 26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-4; 4:24; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; II Corinthians 13:14)
The Bible is Inspired Word of God
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of our faith and conduct. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21)
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in his sinless life, miracles and teachings, and that while he was here on earth that he was both fully God and fully man. We believe in his substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father as our advocate and mediator. Christ will one day return to consummate history and to fulfill the eternal plan of God. (Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1-4; Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13)
Mankind bears the Image of God
We believe that all mankind is created in the image of God. Central to the message of the Bible is that God loves mankind, and invites them to live in communion with Himself and in community with each other. (Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18; I John 1:8)
The Salvation and Regeneration of Mankind
We believe that apart from Jesus Christ, all people are spiritually lost, and as a result of sin deserve the judgment of God. However, God gives salvation and eternal life to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ and in His sacrifice on his or her behalf. Salvation cannot be earned through good deeds or human effort. It is a gift that must be received by humble repentance and faith in Christ and His finished work on the cross. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 53; John 3:16; Matthew 20:18; Romans 3:21-26; 5:1; I Corinthians 15:3,14; II Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:7; I John 2:2; Matthew 28:6; and Romans 10:9-10)
The Ordinances of the Church
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has given two ordinances to the local church: Believer’s Baptism
and the Lord’s Supper. We believe baptism to be the immersion of a follower of Christ in water as an outward symbol of an internal reality, reflecting the death, burial, resurrection and the finished work of the cross. We believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of his death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:28-41, 47; Matthew 28:18-20; I Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:42-46; I Corinthians 11:23-29)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit is sent by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin and to draw people to Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit fully indwells every believer in Christ at conversion, and that he is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide and gives them spiritual gifts with which to serve the church and reach out to a lost and needy world. (John 14:15-18; 16:13-15; Acts 2:28-41, 47; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:36-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3, 4; I Corinthians 12:13).
The Sanctification of Believers
We believe that the Holy Spirit renews our fallen nature through faith in Jesus Christ whose blood of atonement cleanses us from all sin. We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well- being of their fellow man, that they should strive for their conduct to be blameless before the world, they should be faithful stewards of their possessions, and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full status of maturity in Christ. (Heb. 10:10; Gal. 5:16,18,25; Mark 2:9; 1 John 3:2; Rom. 8:29; John 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Ps. 119:11; Acts 20:32; 1 Peter 2:2)
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the personal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the righteous, and the endless suffering of those who reject the salvation of God. (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:16, 17; John 5:28-29; I Corinthians 15; II Corinthians 5:10; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:4-6,11-15).
The Eternal Security of Believers
We believe in the eternal security of believers. That the true followers of Christ will never loose their salvation but that Christ will give them everlasting safety. Satan cannot harm their souls or take away their eternal life with God. (John 10:25-30; 17:21-23)
